Hi my name is Matthew Miller.

I grew up in Northern California in the small town of Sonoma, surrounded by open space that produces a climate just ripe for hiking, outdoor adventures and of course, wine. I have fond memories of the green rolling hills and open fields that shaped the unique Sonoma Valley. I often think of those hills of the valley as my first experiences of exploring open terrain and testing the limits of my body athletic pursuits.

Sonoma is well known for its moss laden oaks and vineyards that nurtured a sense of growing magic. The area boasts a robust lineage of natural mysticism that has prevailed through its many parks- including Jack London State Park and Sugar Loaf State Park. It was on those early adventures that I began to develop a connection with the land and an appreciation for taking care of my body.

One of the hidden treasures of Sonoma County was the coastline. The ocean being a 40 minute scenic drive away was an escape from the valley to wild coastline. The beach offered a blanket of solitude in an element that stirred a creative sense of adventure amongst the waves. As I grew older that sense of adventure called me into an even deeper pursuit: the sport of surfing. Surfing brought forth the humbling nature of waves that became an obsession. I wanted to feel the glide along a surface of a wave and would do anything to be in the water as much as I possibly could.

As my teens wore off I once again felt a stronger calling- I was at a point in my life were I needed to do something other than go through the motions of school and work. I wanted to follow my sense of adventure.

My experience was limited until I found an opportunity to access amazing jobs in our majestic national parks. I applied to jobs in different parks hoping for the jobs closest to the ocean, but very quickly I received a job in Rocky Mountain National Park. In the blink of an eye I had accepted the job. It was my first experience away from home and I began to learn more about other jobs with employee housing in National Parks. I was stoked that I could go from park to park and find jobs and housing where I could explore the many opportunities of the parks features while also making a living.

This was the gateway to my adventure lifestyle. The years were filled with an obsession of adventure that lead me from the Rockies, to the Tetons, to Yosemite Valley, and then to the Tuolumne Meadows High Country. My thirst had been quenched and self discovery had been opened. It was an amazing privilege to be a part of these parks, allowing me to learn about myself and express my talents as a rock climber, slack liner, snowboarder, cyclist, runner, white water kayaker, and outdoorsman. After years of stoke and gratitude it was time to align myself with the more responsible culture.

I went coast side and went back to school. I graduated from Skyline City College in 2013 with an AS degree in Allied Health Science. The knowledge I learned in school was well applied in my studies of Massage Therapy. I had been a student of mind-body-health-movement for many years and adding massage to my repertoire enhanced my knowledge of the human body, gaining valuable insight into the world of holistic healing with a solid foundation in Western Medicine.

The primary purpose of my massage practice is to give each and every person that enters the studio the highest quality therapeutic massage they need and deserve. Massage is an amazing practice that activates the release of tense muscle to increase circulation and promote vitality. In each massage I focus my pressure with repetition on the muscular system to bring relief that will increase the body’s muscular health. The rejuvenating qualities of massage will help align your energy and strength so you can live free of discomfort and pain.

It’s been been 5 years since my wife and I fell in love with the coastal cities of North County San Diego. It was a leap of faith making the move to these sunny shores from San Francisco but we are so happy to be a part of this amazing community in Carlsbad. It gives me great pleasure to bring such valuable work to such an active community.

I’m looking forward to giving you deep tissue therapeutic massage that will have you feeling great and beaming with energy.

Thank you for taking the time to enjoy my site. I hope to see you as a client soon. Gratitude.
